EA Inc.’s Battlefield 3 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 held in the top 10 at GameStop Corp.’s online division this week amid strong pre-sale demand.

This week, the Battlefield 3 Xbox 360 SKU ranked as the No. 5 best-selling pre-order title at Gamestop.com.

The Battlefield 3 PS3 SKU ranked No. 8 in the same period.

This week, Amazon.com Inc. this offering a Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand expansion pack free with the pre-order purchase of Battlefield 3.

In addition, it is holding a Buy 2 Get 1 Free Game Sale for select game titles, including Battlefield Bad Company 2 Ultimate Edition.

Battlefield 3 includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.

It will be released Oct. 25.

Sony in May began sale of the PS3 160GB Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware, a copy of Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC Pack, and a Dualshock 3 Controller at $299.99.

Microsoft in Sept. will sell a new limited edition Xbox 360 320GB Gears of War 3 Bundle at $399.99.

Current Xbox 360 stand-alone SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB hardware at $299.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB hardware at $199.99.

Bundle SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle at $299.99.
