Activision Blizzard Inc. this week demonstrated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, and the PC at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.
The level preview, dubbed ‘Mind the Gap’, included a standard night-based infiltration that subsequently leads to an action-packed vehicle shootout next to a high-speed subway train.
The on-rails vehicle area required users to shoot enemies in the moving subway car, which eventually crashes into a fiery mess.
The action held at a consistent 60 frames-per-second amid the vehicle chase, glass shattering, and subway train tumble.
It will be sold Nov. 8.
Sony in May began sale of the PS3 160GB Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware, a copy of Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC Pack, and a Dualshock 3 Controller at $299.99.
