Capcom Co. this week demonstrated Street Fighter X Tekken for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The fighter offers new tag-team battles that allow for juggle combos that switch between two characters.

Control was tight and similar to Street Fighter IV. New are constant juggles that can switch between characters that can be initiated with the fierce punch and fierce kick button simultaneously. Users press the medium punch and medium kick buttons to switch characters.

When an opponent defeats only one character, the round ends.

The current build included a strong roster of iconic characters including Ryu, Chun-Li, Guile, Bob, Nina, Hwoarang, and Kazuya.

The graphics engine was colorful at 60 frames-per-second. Characters included hand-drawn detail against heavily animated backgrounds.
