Microsoft Corp. this week demonstrated Forza Motorsport 4 for the Xbox 360 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The latest entry in franchise utilized the new Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel Peripheral to be sold this fall. The wireless wheel, which includes an L and R trigger and face buttons yielded very sensitive control in the cockpit with each steering adjustment measured accurately. In addition, the wheel produced force feedback in collisions.

In the current build, users could race through a snow-based mountain track with solid vehicular physics in each turn. Vehicle damage was relayed properly to cause abrupt feedback in each bash.

The AI was solid with the leader attempting multiple times to speed away or block an attempt to pass from the rear.

The graphics engine held at 60 frames-per-second in the cockpit with generous detail paid to the interior of the wheel, dash and console.

The Xbox 360 Wireless Speed Wheel will hold an MSRP of $59.99.
