Microsoft Corp. this week said it will add Voice Search functionality to the Xbox Live division of the Xbox 360 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

Voice search functionality will be enabled using the Kinect hardware for the Xbox 360.

A new dashboard will utilize voice search functionality to menu commands for gaming, music, and more.

Microsoft in June said it has sold 10 million Kinect and 10 million stand-alone Kinect titles globally.

Microsoft in June said it currently holds 35 million Xbox Live members globally. Each spends of average of 60 hours on the service, the company said.

Current Xbox 360 stand-alone SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB hardware at $299.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB hardware at $199.99.

Bundle SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle at $299.99.
