EA Inc. this week released the new trailer for Battlefield 3 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The new trailer features new animation, environmental destruction, level scale, rendering, and audio techniques utilizing all in-game footage.

This week, Amazon.com Inc. is offering a Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand expansion pack free with the pre-order purchase of Battlefield 3.

Battlefield 3 includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.

It will be released Oct. 25.

Sony in May began sale of the PS3 160GB Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware, a copy of Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Black Ops, the Call of Duty: Black Ops First Strike DLC Pack, and a Dualshock 3 Controller at $299.99.

Current Xbox 360 stand-alone SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB hardware at $299.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB hardware at $199.99.

Bundle SKUs include the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99 and the Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle at $299.99.
