Advanced sales for Infamous 2 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 increased this week despite an outage of the outage of the Playstation Network division.

This week, Infamous 2 held a sales increase of 25 percent to rank at No. 55 in’s Video Games division.

Sony told Bloomberg this week that it is adopting an improved security system and plans to restart PSN and Qriocity services by May 31.

Access to the Playstation Network and Qrocity divisions has been crippled following an external intrusion that compromised consumer data.

Sony May 6 said it has begun to restore the Playstation Network division through internal testing.

Sony in Mar. said Infamous 2 will include a mission creation feature to allow owners to create and upload their own custom levels.

The mission creation feature will include the same set of characters, creatures and props found in the final game.

Additionally, users can control mission types, including stealth-only missions.

A public beta of the feature will be available in Apr.

Infamous 2 will include lead character Cole MacGrath, in addition to new powers and a brand new city location.

Infamous is an IP that allows players to wield a wide range of electricity-based super powers. The city location includes an open-world design.

The title was released in May 2009.

Sony in Feb. began sale of the Playstation 3 160GB Killzone 3 Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware SKU and a copy of Killzone 3 $299.99.

The PS3 is sold in a 160GB SKU at $299.99 and a 320GB SKU at $349.99.

The Playstation Move Console Bundle includes the PS3 320GB SKU, Playstation Move Controller, Playstation Eye, and Sports Champions at $399.99.
