Valve Corp.’s Portal 2 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 and the PC ranked as the second best-selling game title in U.S. Apr. sales in new retail data.

NPD Group Inc. this week said Portal 2 as the No. 2 title in U.S. game sales.

The Portal 2 PS3 SKU allows owners to link their Steam and Playstation Network accounts to facilitate cross-platform play between users via the PS3, PC or Mac.

Additionally, the Portal 2 PS3 SKU includes cloud-based storage to allow users to play and continue from the PS3, PC or Mac.

Portal 2 is an action puzzle sequel to the 2007 release Portal.

The final game includes platform and physics-based puzzles, in addition to a two-player co-op mode.

Sony in Feb. began sale of the Playstation 3 160GB Killzone 3 Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware SKU and a copy of Killzone 3 $299.99.

The PS3 is sold in a 160GB SKU at $299.99 and a 320GB SKU at $349.99.

The Playstation Move Console Bundle includes the PS3 320GB SKU, Playstation Move Controller, Playstation Eye, and Sports Champions at $399.99.

Microsoft in Nov. began sale of the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99.

The Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle sells at $299.99.
