Pre-order sales for Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week said it will release Dark Souls to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 spiked at retailer Inc. post announcement of the sequel.

This week, the Dark Souls PS3 SKU held a 3,900 percent sales increase to rank at No. 3 in Amazon’s Video Games division.

The Dark Souls Xbox 360 SKU held a 6,073 percent sales increase to rank at No. 23 in the same period.

Dark Souls, the spiritual successor to Demon’s Souls, is an action RPG title that is said to include 60 hours of challenging gameplay, 100 monsters and character customization options.

Customers who pre-order Dark Souls will receive the Collector’s Edition SKU, which includes a limited edition art book, mini-strategy guidebook, behind-the-scenes videos, and the game’s soundtrack for digital download at $59.99.

Sony in Feb. began sale of the Playstation 3 160GB Killzone 3 Bundle, which includes the PS3 160GB hardware SKU and a copy of Killzone 3 $299.99.

The PS3 is sold in a 160GB SKU at $299.99 and a 320GB SKU at $349.99.

The Playstation Move Console Bundle includes the PS3 320GB SKU, Playstation Move Controller, Playstation Eye, and Sports Champions at $399.99.

Microsoft in Nov. began sale of the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Special Edition Bundle at $399.99.

The Xbox 360 4GB with Kinect bundle sells at $299.99.

The Xbox 360 Holiday Bundle, which includes the Xbox 360 250GB hardware, a copy of Forza Motorsport 3 and a voucher to download Alan Wake via Xbox Live, sells at $299.99.
